I. INTRODUCTION Implementing a new information system in a manufacturing, laboratory, office, or support area is a sizable investment. Beyond the financial outlays, time, energy, reputations, and opportunities are invested in the project. In addition, the system and information produced from it will be long-term reminders of how successful-or unsuccessful-the solution turns out to be.
