Morphology:
Zoospores encysted at the tips of hypha-like sporangia, forming a mass of zoospores encysted after moving inside the sporangium in a row. Oogonia mostly terminal, often aggregated, covered with characteristically branched hypha-like antheridia, monoclinous. Oospores aplerotic, with single oil globules.
