Supply chains, metrics, and transportation The future of supply chain transportation is being held hostage by the uncertain economic model and mandated applications of RFID technology. Not since the 1960s revolution of computer technology swept away office workers and rearranged the manager’s entire concept of data management requirements has there been an impact on manufacturing, distribution, and retail and wholesale business as will happen with the current wave of massive, ubiquitous, passive RFID tags and different levels of aggregate active tags, and related software integration.
