ABSTRACT

The aim of this chapter is to show the use of microwave heating for the production of inorganic materials. The materials under dicsussion are separated into specic types such as adsorbents, batteries, ceramics, catalysts, and semiconductors. Attention will focus on work published from 2006 to 2009, although even a complete review of this relatively short period would be relatively expansive. Various unique aspects of microwave heating such as microwave frequency, novel apparatus, power levels, and other parameters will be discussed.
