ABSTRACT
GaAs based QWIPs were discussed previously in Chapter 7. However, there have been many recent improvements in GaAs based QWIPs including the development of long wavelength (~10 µm) QWIPs, and aluminum-free QWIPs. We also focus on more recent results in the InP material systems. InP based QWIPs possess several important advantages over GaAs based QWIPs.
