ABSTRACT
Overview Blair and Brown reported that intermediate (split-) thickness skin grafts can be used successfully to treat a variety of tissue defects. The following is a review of their described techniques, the results of several cases shared by the authors, a discussion about the merits and shortcomings of these techniques, and finally an update on more recent articles and advances based on this original seminal article.
