ABSTRACT
The term ”process” means the sequence of interdependent and linked procedures that, at every stage, consume one or more resources (employee time, energy, machines, money) to convert inputs (data, material, parts, etc.) into outputs.1 These outputs then serve as inputs for the next stage until a known goal or end result is reached. Process control is the active changing of the process based on the results of process monitoring. Once the process monitoring tools have detected an out-of-control situation, the person responsible for the process makes a change to bring the process back into control.
