ABSTRACT
Cyber-physical systems (CPSs) have been a term coined of late to represent a class of next-generation engineered systems that envisions the use of advanced computation, communication, information, and control technologies for controlling and monitoring of a wide variety of systems. Such systems include sensing from distributed sensors, communicating data sensed to appropriate computing centers, processing the data, and nally inducing actuating actions for real-time monitoring and control. Cloud computing (CC), with its massive storage and computation capacity, has been a key driver to support creative and grand CPS applications.
