ABSTRACT

In this article, some basic properties of polyethylene glycol (PEG)

gel will be briefly introduced, together with the clinical advantages

as well as the effects observed during the study of this polymer

for biomedical purposes. Although the practical application of PEG

to orthopaedic field is still restricted, this hydrate material is a

potential alternative biopolymers for orthopaedics surgery, taking

into account the unique characteristics.
