ABSTRACT

Because of the rate of technical advances in this field, sound reinforcement equipment, like many electronic systems, rapidly gets out of date. It therefore has to be upgraded and renewed more frequently than the building or system in which it is installed. This chapter provides case histories of some typical sound reinforcement installations, demonstrating certain fundamental solutions. Some of the examples show why and how an installation was modified from its original layout.
