ABSTRACT
One of the most powerful features of CT is the possibility of performing "tomodensiometry" (14), i.e., of measuring the densities in a thin slice of an object, since the density of polymers has been shown to be approximately proportional to the linear X-ray attenuation coefficient (14 ). It may be emphasized that direct proportionality is obtained only if the objects under inspection are made of a single chemical element (4).
