ABSTRACT
When a concrete specimen is subjected to load, its response is both immediate and timedependent. Under sustained load, the deformation of a specimen gradually increases with time and eventually may be many times greater than its initial value. In order to satisfy the design objective of serviceability in a structural design, accurate and reliable predictions of the instantaneous and time-dependent deformation of the concrete structure are required.
