ABSTRACT
Investigationsofdepositionofaerosolparticlesonanobject(collector)areofkeyimportance inelectrostaticpaintingorcoating,cropspraying,electrostaticscrubbingandelectrostatic probesdesignedformeasurementofchargeormassflowrateintwo-phaseflows.The problemofdepositionisusuallysolvedforthecaseofboththecollectorandparticlebeing charged.ThetrajectoriesoftheparticlesaredeterminednumericallyfromtheNewton equationtakingintoconsiderationtheairdrag,electricalandgravitationalforces.The experimentalworkisnotwidelyrepresentedintheliterature,probablybecausethestatistical natureofthecharginganddepositionprocessesmakesquantitativecomparisonoftheorywith experimentdifficult.
