ABSTRACT

Crohn 's disease is a cluonic inflammatory disorder that can affect the entire gastrointestinal tract It occurs predominantly in young adults with peak occurrences in the second to third decade of life. Because these are the main childbearing ages, data regarding pregnancy in Crohn 's disease patients are vital in terms of future quality of life issues and medical management. Unfortunately, there are few case-controUed trials and no prospective therapeutic trials of pregnancy in patients with Crohn 's disease.
