ABSTRACT
In continuum numerical modeling the choice of boundary conditions plays a central role and boundaries are equally important in DEM. A key choice in setting up a DEM simulation is to decide on the spatial domain that will be considered. The boundaries to this domain must then be numerically described in the DEM model.
