Some o f the most complex problems in construct ion law are produced by nominated sub-contracting. For that reason this chapter opens w i t h a general explanation o f the principles o f sub-contracting, leading to an account o f the system o f nominated sub-contracting and problems created by i t , the attempted solutions in these Condi t ions , and a resume o f the practicalities o f nominated sub-contracting.
