ABSTRACT
Computer based design programmes has achieved major developments in analysis and the more realistic assessment of the stresses and deformation characteristics of complex container shapes, going hand in hand with sophisticated construction techniques. Computer modelling has also assisted in the understanding of the behaviour of some stored materials under varying circumstances and their affect on the vessels containing them (5.6).
