ABSTRACT
Abstract A new type of asphalt reinforcing has been developed using a strong glass fibre geogrid mounted on Polypropylene nonwoven geofabric. This 'Glasphalt* combines the features of veritable reinforcing and of water proofing of base layers beneath and easy installation with the nonwoven geofabric attached to. This paper describes the results of test performed at three leading European laboratories for proof of performance effects under severe and controlled conditions.
