ABSTRACT

It is considered by some authors including Bernstrom (4) that the final stage of grinding by rod mills could be carried out as effectively and cheaper by a further stage of crushing.

Although there is provision for routine laboratory sampling, a continuous check on slurry consistency is made by measuring the pressure differential in a small pipeline loop. Continuous agitation is provided in the three final storage tanks each holding a two-hour supply at normal pumping rate (a further standby tank is also installed).
