ABSTRACT
Water is held by the soil in the soil pores. The amount of water held can be defined as follows:
(1) Saturation: the state of complete soil wetness when no further water may be added to the soil.
(2) Field capacity (FC): the condition reached after water has drained from the soil by gravity.
