ABSTRACT
The approach presented in TMS-1300 is centred on the response of real distributed mass structures and structural elements which are idealised as 'equivalent lumped-mass single degree of freedom' systems. For this reason, this chapter will concentrate solely on the response of such systems, developing the response of an idealised single degree of freedom (SOOF) structure to an idealised blast load.
