ABSTRACT

Healthy eating involves planning, preparation, and awareness of situations and potential health risks. In our increasingly global economy, it has become more difficult to determine the source, safety, or security of foods available for consumption. People travel the world for a variety of reasons, including pleasure, work, and education. The ease of traveling thousands of miles in less than a day’s time exposes us to myriad health risks caused by different climate conditions, organisms, populations, flora and fauna, and food and drink.
