ABSTRACT In the dam construction work using the RCD (Roller Compacted Dam Concrete)
method, many heavy construction machines are operated being different from the conventional method, and pipe coohng becomes impossible. Also, concrete placement method is different so that new crack prevention measures become necessary. This report presents the results of temperature hysteresis analysis by the difference calculus for various cases of two-dimensional problems including concrete placement method and materials used in order to develop a crack prevention technique and also present the results of the validity based on the measured temperature and the results of the said analysis.
