ABSTRACT
Good introductions to the strip method are given in many textbooks, e.g. by Ferguson, Breen and Jirsa, MacGregor, Nilson and Winter, Park and Gamble, andWilby. For a more complete presentation see Strip Method of Design. Here only a very short introduction wi l l be given and the emphasis wi l l be on rules and recommendations for practical application of the method to design.
