Structure and Expression of a Eukaryote Gene Coding for an mRNA and a Protein

A eukaryote gene with mRNA has a coding sequence bordered by regulation sequences. The latter serve as signals to begin or end transcription of the gene by polymerase RNAII. Some of these sequences (e.g., the TATA box of promoter) are recognized by proteins called "general transcription factors" because they help this enzyme in the stages of initiation and elongation of transcription.
