Typical results obtained on different concretes are shown in Figure 2 [1]. In this Figure, the flow curves strongly suggest a Bingham behavior. The rheological behavior can be expressed in term of two parameters by the following equation:

where T is the torque to drive an impeller (Nm), g is the flow resistance (Nm), h is the torque viscosity (Nm.s) and N is the impeller angular speed (rev/s). Equation (1) is very similar to the equation in Figure lb, which suggests that the flow resistance is related to the yield and that the torque viscosity is related to the plastic viscosity.
