PROPERTIES OF DRY SPRAYED CONCRETE CONTAINING ORDINARY PORTLAND CEMENT OR FLY ASH-PORTLAND CEMENT

Abstract The considerable quantity of rebound generated by the Dry Mix process of Sprayed Concrete affects the expectation in-situ and is of commercial and engineering concern. It has been shown that the very high cement contents found in hardened sprayed concrete provide potential for alkali-silica reaction and incipient cracking through high heat of hydration. There is also clear evidence of weaker lenses of material in hardened concrete.
