Recently, the finite strip method and the spline finite strip method have been extended to the analysis of continuous haunched slab-on-girder and box-girder bridges (M. S. Cheung and Li, 1988B, 1989A, 1990B; M. S Cheung, Li and Jaeger, 1992).
