ABSTRACT

This paper is part of an applied research programon

the virtualization of firms in constructionwithin the

area of Construction Management and Economics

at the Helsinki University of Technology (TKK/

CME). So far, the major contributions include (i)

a 3-dimensions of virtuality model of a virtual con-

structionmanagement services company (VCMSC),

(ii) its integrated management system, based on (iii)

a 3-part building construction information model

(BCIM), and (iv) the seven sub-systems of manag-

ing virtually (Alsakini et al. 2008a, b, c).
