ABSTRACT

It has always been a human aspiration to create

taller structures. Ancient structures such as the

tower of Babel, Colossus of Rhodes, the pyra-

mids of Egypt, Mayan Temples, and many more

were apparently built as symbol of power. Today,

the determining factors for buildings to become

higher are mainly the economic and social fac-

tors, although human ego and competition are still

playing role (Lin, 2009).
