ABSTRACT

N.N. Tzvelev [Novosti sist. vyssh. rast. (Developments in the Taxonomy of Higher Plants) 1973,10: 363] differentiated 2 subspecies-subsp. alsatica (flowers 18-22 mm long, parasites on species of Peucedanum L. and Angelica L.) and subsp. libanotidis (Rupr.) Tzvelev (flowers 14-18 mm long, parasites on species of Libanotis Hill, and Pimpinella L.). Our observations did not reveal any correlation between the size of flowers and their affinity to the host plants.
