ABSTRACT

Citrus is cultivated in a very wide range of climatic conditions and land situations, from plains land to hill terraces, in over a hundred countries. It is cultivated in nearly every tropical, subtropical, and Mediterranean climatic regions of the world-from the semiarid climate of California (USA), Australia and the Mediterranean countries to subtropical to nearly tropical climate of Florida (USA), and Brazil, and, the tropical climate of Southeast Asia, extending approximately 40° N and 40° S of the Equator, concentrated primarily from 20° to 40° N and 40° S latitude.
