ABSTRACT

Citrus varieties and cultivars that are now widely cultivated include mandarins, sweet oranges, lemons, limes, pomelos, and grapefruits. At the global level the relative production of different citrus varieties is 18.8%, 69.7%, 5.3% (lime and lemon), and 6.7% (pomelo and grapefruit) respectively (Timmer and Duncan, 1999).
