ABSTRACT
Manufacturing companies are continuously looking for ways to increase profits by adding retail value or reducing manufacturing costs. One approach is to introduce flexible manufacturing systems. The introduction of flexible manufacturing systems can enable the company to reduce the level of work in progress and finished inventory. It can also reduce manufacturing lead time and improve the response to customer demand.
