ABSTRACT
Central to the Community Wastes to Methane system concept is anaerobic digestion (AD). AD, also called biological gasification (biogasification), is a natural, microbial process that converts organic matter to methane and carbon dioxide. For example, glucose is stoichiometrically converted to equal portions of methane and carbon dioxide (eqn (1)).
