ABSTRACT
SUMMARY: In the UK a significant amount of interest is being generated by football clubs modernising and expanding facilities to accommodate expansion and commercial growth. This paper presents a success story with particular reference to how Reading Football Club is developing a noncontroversial major new facility in partnership with local government and with the full support from the townspeople.
