ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Anoverview is presented of the use ofmicroscopic x-ray fluorescence, x-ray absorption and x-ray diffraction methods for non-destructive analysis of materials and artefacts from the cultural heritage field during the last five years. Both the use of x-ray beams generated by means of x-ray tubes, operated either in the laboratory or on-site, and produced in synchrotron radiation storage rings, is covered.
