ABSTRACT
The colorant intensity of the various colorants for food, drugs and cosmetics permits their application in sometimes extremely low concentrations. There it is possible, in very few cases, to identify the colorant directly and without isolation. This works mostly in clear and soluble products (e.g., foam bath, bathing salt, beverages), and only in cases where there is no overlapping of the absorption curves in spectrophotometric analysis.
