ABSTRACT
The production of conidia and the development of the sporogenous cell are depicted in Fig. VI.2.
The conidial primordium is a bud that appears generally at the tip of the conidiophore. The conidium has a wall continuous with that of the conidiogenous cell, and it is therefore holoblastic. It remains single, in the sense that:
— no other conidium can be produced on the same vegetative point;
