ABSTRACT
In oilfields, soil contamination and the production of oily drilling mud occurs regularly from oil recovery technology. Typical environmental problems result from broken pipelines, drilling holes, and the production of contaminated drilling cuttings. The most applied methods for soil and sludge treatment are a mechanical-chemical treatment (conditioning) followed by deposition in dumping sites.
