ABSTRACT

Based on information gained by the transient response method, Kobayashi and Kobayashi proposed a model of CO catalytic oxidation [107] in which the following assumptions were Inade:

1. There are two kinds of centers on which oxygen is chelnisorbed on Cr203: SI and SII. Less numerous O-SI species exhibit higher oxidative power and SI sites are always saturated with oxygen at the steady state of the catalytic reaction. Simultaneously O-SII species have lower oxidation power and are slowly regenerated. The concentration of O-SII species does decrease with the increasing pressure of CO.
