This behavior shows that charge transfer with electron injection into TiO^

conduction band levels does in fact occur (Reaction 1). The rate constant

for the back electron transfer is ca. 2 x 10 ^ s \ which is typical for

coo"cH X LU 0 U 2 < CD _ 0 OC d O in CD < -4
