ABSTRACT

DOS Basics Where to Start Many programmers have come to take MS-DOS for granted. Its API has become a standard in the industry and is known by developers world-wide. Many books, published by Microsoft and others, describe the interface. Many other books contain information about writing applications for DOS, and others talk about how to extend it. Still others describe how to write extenders, device drivers, etc. Additionally, periodicals dedicate space to and books are published about the "undocumented" system calls and data structures.
