ABSTRACT
Although these are relatively uncommon tumours, with an incidence in Spain of less than 5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, were the exponentially increasing trend to continue unabated they would become a health problem of real concern. Table 10.1 shows the number of deaths and the adjusted mortality rates for 1992 (Centro Nacional de Epidemiolgía, 1995).
