Electronic Structure of the Endohedral Metallofullerene Lu@C82

XPS, EPR and UV-Vis-Nir spectroscopic techniques are employed to characterize the mono-metallofullerene Lu@C,,. Our results suggest that the encaged Lu atom donates approximately three electrons to the carbon cage.
