ABSTRACT

Both the most general features of existence of the Pinus pumila (Pall. ) Regel formation on Kamchatka and the most specific mechanisms of its ecological adaptation as an organism were discussed in Chapter 4. Here, I shall briefly describe the peculiarities of its development in communities-from consortium to biogeocenosis, i. e. the position of P. pumila in ecosystemssurrounding plants, animals, and their groups.
