ABSTRACT
Many difficult problems remain concerning the study of solutions to autonomous equations. For analogous nonautonomous problems, techniques successfully employed include a variational formulation ( cf. Kath et al. (8]) and the use of a Mel'nikov function ( cf. Wiggins [21]).
