ABSTRACT

Abstract Bituminous m a t e r i a l s have a h i g h l y pronounced v i s c o e l a s t i c character. The only way to measure t h e i r mechanical properties p r e c i s e l y i s to subject them to we l l - d e f i n e d loading h i s t o r i e s : references to t e s t s at a "constant r a t e " or wit h a "constant loading law" are common.
