PLATE TECTONICS BANDWAGON "So, you jumped on the bandwagon", Collinson told me when he learned that I was going to carry out research in plate tectonics. I was interested neither in the politics nor the fashion in Science and I knew very little about plate tectonics. I did not even know what a 'bandwagon' was, as I was unconcerned and totally uninterested in such motives.
