ABSTRACT

One of the main drawbacks of cumin, specially during the rainy season, is the infection of cumin by fungal diseases. So far, three serious fungal diseases have been reported for cumin (33), Fusarium wilt of cumin (Fusarium oxysporum), cumin leaf blight (Altemaria bumsii) and powdery mildew (Erysipe polygoni), among which cumin wilt and leaf blight are very common in India and Iran (16, 17).
